Track the Winter Feast

January 2nd - 5th, 2025

Tracking the height of the kokannee spawn

  • Are you curious about the stories hidden in the tracks and signs left by animals in the wilderness?

  • Do you long to deepen your connection with nature and fellow nature enthusiasts?

  • Do you wish to gain a new awareness of the natural world?

This course coincides with the height of the winter Kokanee salmon spawn where many wildlife come out to feast during this lean time of year. Tracks of bobcat, lynx, cougar, coyote, and many others are reliably found on the shores and forest of Anderson Lake where this course takes place. Tracking the winter feast is a unique opportunity to learn more about many charismatic megafauna whose track and sign reveal details about their personalities and lives.
