WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Ways of the wild is a 9-month program that meets one weekend a month focused on cultivating a deeper connection to nature through immersive experiences that develop nature awareness, earth-based living skills, and practices for being in community. The journey will be a deep dive of tapping into our wild natures, full aliveness, and connection with each other.
WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?
This program is for adults who want to deepen their connection to nature, community, and self; for those who are seeking transformation in their lives; or those who are feeling the call to be in the wild.
WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?
Through the following rewilding and reskilling activities, we will expand our senses, awareness and connection to a whole new level:
* Developing competency in Firecraft (including friction fire)
* Foraging for Plant medicines & edibles
* Deciphering Bird language
* Shelter building for survival
* Delving into the art & science of Wildlife tracking
* Wildharvesting and wildcrafting with natural materials
* Learning the ancient art of Hide tanning
* Embodying Primal movement practices
* Engaging in Community building
* Culminating the journey with a Rite of Survival Trip
CAMPING WEEKENDS
This workshop takes place on a 120 acres private property on Anderson Lake, BC in the heart of very expansive wildlands. The program is camping based so you will have the opportunity to become competent and comfortable camping in the wild.
