Join us for a weekend getaway to forage delicious wild edibles off of the land and on to your plate. We will adventure together into the forest to harvest our dinner for the night and medicines for the coming year.
Begin to develop skills and awareness that all of our land-based ancestors relied on for surviving and thriving. Over the weekend you will:
Learn nature awareness practices to increase attunement to the natural world
How to confidently identify poisonous and edible plants
Craft a meal from foraged plants (pestos, salads, stir frys)
Regenerative and safe harvesting techniques
How to process and store edible plants
How to make tinctures, teas, and salves
Harvest wild plants to eat and make medicine with
WHAT'S INVOLVED?
A weekend campout (2 days and 2 nights) in the coast mountains learning wilderness living and bushcraft skills. The course takes place on a 120 acres private property on Anderson Lake. It will build your confidence in the outdoors, expand your awareness of the wild, and deepen your direct relationship with the earth.
