Animal Processing

Sept 26th - 28th, 2025

Animal Processing Workshop Description:

This immersive, three-day workshop invites participants to engage deeply with the practice of ethical and respectful animal slaughter and processing. Guided by experienced instructors, you will take part in the entire journey of processing sheep from start to finish, honouring the life of the animal with intentionality, ritual, and gratitude. This course utilizes the intimate practice of taking life by knife, fostering a profound connection to the cycle of life and our role within it. Participants will also explore how to utilize every part of the animal, learning different methods for cooking nose to tail as well as crafting with hide, hooves, bones, bladders and more.
